This is a faithfull reproduction of the great central boss in the easternmost bay of the nave in Norwich Cathedral. It depicts the Temptation and the Fall. The Devil, with lower half as serpent coiled round the Tree of Knowledge and upper half as woman, commends the golden apples he holds in his hands. Eve also with two apples, seems eager about the newly-found treasure. Adam, however, having accepted one apple and with his hand on his heart, looks both curious and anxious.
